  • Vomiting is not a disease but a sign of many different conditions. Many cases of vomiting are self-limiting after a day or two. Less commonly, vomiting may result from a serious illness, such as cancer.

  • von Willebrand's disease (vWD) is the most common inherited bleeding disorder of both man and animals. It is caused by an inherited deficiency in the blood platelets' ability to adhere to and seal damaged blood vessels resulting in excessive haemorrhage. The deficient protein is called 'von Willebrand factor antigen'.
